SIXY

About the game

Smart is SIXY

SIXY gives you six tries to find the day’s six-letter word. Pink hints reveal when the answer needs another copy of a letter.

Why SIXY exists

SIXY was created to make daily wordplay welcoming without losing the satisfaction of a smart deduction. Six-letter words open up a wide range of patterns, endings, and repeated-letter combinations. The extra length makes each discovery rewarding, while the repeat-letter hint gives players a fair way to untangle the hardest boards.

The game is created and published by SIXY LLC in Arizona. Its visual identity, rounded hexagonal board, clue system, animations, word schedule, and sharing experience were designed as one focused daily ritual.

One shared puzzle each day

Every player receives one puzzle per local calendar day. A new game begins at midnight in the player’s own time zone, and completed games are saved only in that browser so players can return to their results.

Distinctively SIXY

SIXY is an independently created word game focused on six-letter play and its own repeat-letter clue. A pink circle is information, not another score: it tells the player that the answer contains another copy of that letter beyond the copies already used in the guess. This small clue keeps repeated letters challenging without making them feel arbitrary.

We also care about the feel of play. The board uses compact six-sided tiles so a guess reads as a word, the reveal blooms outward from each tile, and the result card is designed to be shared without revealing the answer.

Built for a fair daily challenge

The answer schedule contains 3,000 unique six-letter words. Answer types are distributed so that similar endings do not dominate a short stretch, and previously played puzzles are never changed. The accepted-guess list is intentionally broader than the answer list, so a legitimate exploratory guess can be valid without becoming a future daily solution.

Read our word standards for more detail on how the schedule is maintained, or visit the strategy guide for practical ways to read a difficult board.

Privacy without an account

You do not need a screen name or account to play. Progress and streak information stay in the browser on that device. We use limited, privacy-conscious analytics to understand whether the game works reliably and which features are useful. Our privacy policy explains those choices in plain language.
